Antioxidants are chemicals (both naturally occurring and man-made) that can prevent or slow cell damage. An “antioxidant” is actually not a substance; it’s a behaviour.
Cells become unstable as they lose electrons (positive and negative charges) to become ‘free radicals’ starting a chain reaction and damaging other cells. Any compound that has the ability to give electrons and counteract free radicals has antioxidant properties.
Vitamins found in fruits, vegetables and herbs are full of antioxidants to help protect tissues in the body. The reason we use extracts from antioxidant rich plants in our products is enhance the benefits of your results.

Grape seed extract
A naturally occurring antioxidant which is an oligomeric proanthocyanidin (OPCs). Grape seed extract is a more powerful antioxidant than vitamin E and C. A great anti-inflammatory.
The humble pine bark has over 40 antioxidants and works synergistically with vitamin C and vitamin E. It has anti-inflammatory properties, binds with collagen and helps to protect the skin from free radical damage.
Trans-resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant naturally sourced from grapes, certain berries and various plants to help protect them against environmental stresses. It is found naturally in red wine, hence the belief that red wine can actually have a positive effect on health.
