Vanilla and cinnamon roasted plums

Vanilla and Roasted Plum recipe
Indulge in the warm flavours of this Vanilla and Cinnamon Roasted Plums recipe. Perfect as a simple dessert, these roasted plums are a delicious blend of sweet and spiced notes that are sure to please. The natural tartness of the plums is beautifully balanced by the sweetness of vanilla and the warmth of cinnamon, creating a dish that’s as delicious as it is aromatic. Serve these tender, juicy plums on their own or with cinnamon infused yogurt.

Instructions

Step 1 -

Pre heat oven to 200 degrees centigrade

Step 2 -

Cut plums in half and discard stones, arrange in a baking dish

Step 3 -

Sprinkle plums with vanilla, maple syrup and water

Step 4 -

Place in oven and roast until they are soft

Step 5 -

Allow to cool

Step 6 -

For yogurt
Stir vanilla and maple syrup into the yogurt.

Step 7 -

Serve plums with a scoop of yogurt and drizzle of maple syrup if desired

Ingredients

  • 8-10 plums
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 vanilla pod (seeds scraped) or 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 cinnamon sticks or 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3-4 tbsp water
  • To serve
  • 150g coconut yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
