Meet Mirella Siciliano, Beauty Buyer at Barneys New York
Mirella Siciliano is a trail blazer in the beauty industry. She has a passion for finding new and innovative products to stock in the beauty department at Barneys New York.
We were delighted to receive a call from Mirella back in 2017 to discuss stocking Rejuvenated products in their new Conscious Beauty department. This concept focuses on beauty from within.
Her work ethic is quite remarkable, every e-mail is replied to within the day and she always makes time to discuss future projects and promotions.
We asked Mirella a few questions about her role at Barneys and her personal beauty regime.
Did you always dream of working in beauty or was it something you fell into?
I began my career in fashion, but shifted gears early on as I was captivated by the Beauty industry and its many facets. It’s so dynamic, now more than ever. It’s exciting to see how Beauty continually evolves in the market.
Barneys is an amazing retailer what is the favourite aspect of your job?
My favourite part of my job is the discovery of what is new in the market, and being able to introduce exciting new brands to our customer. I love to experience new brands and products, so it’s literally the best job in the world.
What does your daily beauty routine look like?
Cleansing, hydrating, my usual make up application (always use foundation with SPF) and a Collagen Shot before I leave the house. I also mist during the day!
What’s your beauty pet hate?
Foundation overload. Finding a good texture for your skin may not be easy but exfoliating to regenerate skin and hydration is equally important to get the best results.
What’s your top beauty tip?
Cleanse, cleanse and cleanse. It’s so important to clean your skin morning and night.
What’s your favourite Rejuvenated product?
The Collagen shots. They literally make my skin glow, and offer so many additional benefits for my body since they contain Marine Collagen, Zinc and Acai Berry.
If you had to take three beauty products on a desert island; what would they be?
SPF, bright lipstick and Skin Hydration shots to help maintain hydration during the day.
